MUFTI SYED HUSSAIN IBN IMAMUDDIN
An-Nidaa Academy was established by Mufti Syed Hussain Ibn Imamuddin with the vision of making beneficial Islamic knowledge accessible to Muslims around the world.
His vision for Islamic education is rooted in the traditional methods of Islamic scholarship, while recognising the opportunities offered by modern technology to reach students beyond geographical boundaries. Through An-Nidaa Academy, he seeks to provide students with access to structured Islamic learning and to encourage a lifelong commitment to seeking beneficial knowledge.
Scholarly Background
Mufti Syed Hussain Ibn Imamuddin is a graduate of Darul Uloom Al Arabiya Al Islamiya, Bury, UK, where he completed the Alimiyyah programme in 2007.
During his studies, he studied a broad range of traditional Islamic sciences, including Arabic language and grammar, Qira’at, Arabic literature, Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh, Balaghah, Aqeedah, Hadith, Usul al-Hadith, and Tafsir of the Qur’an.
Among his teachers and scholars from whom he benefited were Shaykhul Hadith Yusuf Motala, founder of Darul Uloom Bury, as well as Shaykh Hashim, Shaykh Bilal Bawa, Mufti Shabbir Ahmed, Mufti Muhammad Tahir Wadee, Shaykh Abdur Rahim Limbada, and others.
Following his Alimiyyah studies, he devoted several years to further specialised study in Ifta (specialised study of Islamic legal rulings) under the supervision of Shaykh Mufti Abdur Rahman, Shaykhul Hadith of Ishaatul Islam, London.
He has also received ijazah (authorisation) in Hadith from a number of senior scholars, including Shaykhul Hadith Shah Ahmad Shafi, Shaykh Syed Muhammad Rabey Al-Hasani An-Nadwi, Shaykh Mufti Muhammad Rafi Usmani, and Shaykhul Hadith Mukhlisur Rahman Qiampuri.
From Scholarship to Teaching
Following many years of dedicated study, Mufti Syed Hussain Ibn Imamuddin turned his attention towards teaching and sharing the knowledge he had acquired.
Recognising the potential of modern technology to make Islamic education more accessible, he established An-Nidaa Academy as an online Madrasah. The academy was created to provide students with an opportunity to study Islamic knowledge in a structured environment, regardless of their geographical location.
His approach seeks to combine the traditional principles of Islamic scholarship with modern methods of delivering education, allowing students to pursue their studies while balancing their other commitments.
A Vision for Accessible Islamic Education
At the heart of Mufti Syed Hussain Ibn Imamuddin’s educational vision is the belief that beneficial Islamic knowledge should be accessible to Muslims from all walks of life.
His aim is not simply to provide information, but to encourage students to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of their faith. Through education, students are encouraged to strengthen their relationship with the Qur’an and Sunnah and to reflect Islamic teachings in their daily lives.
An-Nidaa Academy was therefore established as a means of extending access to structured Islamic learning while remaining connected to the traditional foundations of Islamic scholarship.
An-Nidaa Academy & Al-Kareem Foundation
An-Nidaa Academy forms part of the wider educational vision of Al-Kareem Foundation, a UK-based registered charity founded by Mufti Syed Hussain Ibn Imamuddin.
Al-Kareem Foundation seeks to serve communities through a combination of Islamic education, support for Islamic institutions, humanitarian assistance, and community development. An-Nidaa Academy represents the educational dimension of this wider vision.
Through these initiatives, Mufti Syed Hussain Ibn Imamuddin seeks to bring together two important areas of service: the dissemination of beneficial knowledge and practical support for those in need.
